Tata MetaliksTata Metaliks Limited (TML), Tata Metaliks had started with its plant at Kharagpur, where it added a new blast furnace in 2004. Tata Metaliks has acquired a plant at Redi, in Sindhu durg district of Maharashra. It was a unit of Usha Ispat. The unit was bought over by Tata Metaliks from the financer IDBI. It has 3 blast furnaces, each with a production capacity of 300 MT/day. At present, only BF-2 is operational and BF-1 is under installation. There are are 2 vertical pig casting machines. The raw material feeding system is being controlled by Siemens S-5 PLCs and are planned to be replaced by S-7 PLCs.
